The Tire In Fergus

On our way into Elora Gorge conservation area, a screw found his way into our back tire. It was all right for the rest of the day, but it couldn’t stay like that for ever, so we had to drive into Fergus. We stopped at Wellington North Tires to have the tire patched.

While the tire was being worked on, everyone (exept Rod) went to Mac’s corner store for some icey cold frosters. After that we went to the river to see what we could see. 😉 On our way back to the tire shoppe, we stopped at a store called I Love Chocolate. There, we bought Rod some fudge. *YUM*

Ginette pointed out the age of all the old buildings.  She seemed really impressed by all the old buildings.  We saw the war Memorial.  It was just a statue but cool just the same.

over and out,

Charlie

We stopped at the HALTON RAILWAY MUSEUM.  It was a lot of money for all of us so we just saw the trains on the outside.  Lily liked to see things that are old that are still in good shape.

How is it going so far kids? Know when to ask….

Aside

I think they look happy….

I asked the kids to each write a post of their road trip so far. There are high and low moments, that’s for sure! We were on a long hot driving bit. The heat is very tough and everyone has that horrible sticky feeling in the car. I have decided to reschedule the whole trip, so we drive less and chill more.

Hey it’s Lily here!
This trip has been pretty epic so far but I’m going insane. I can’t spend any more time in the car without killing Ruby and her fast music* She takes songs and speeds them up so its sounds like the chipmunk version* We keep running out of water and I don’t have nail polish remover! I can’t write any songs with Ruby and Josie’s parody of sexy and I know it turned into ” This place infested and we know it” (talking about the trailer) in the back of my head. This trip is getting really hard for me and I kinda wanna stop but… the dang werdio show must go on! Yours Truly,
GOING INSANE FROM UNCOMFORTABLE BEDS, Lily

CHARLIE
This trip so far has been a lot to handle. Luckily, I have been hangin’ in pretty well. My favourite part of this trip is probablly the warsaw caves. My least favourite part was the Hell Holes. They were too buggy! 😦 over and out, Charlie

JOSIE
So far this trip has been good.we have done a lot of driving. I think everyone is going crazy and really needs a break. It has been so hot and I can’t stand it.
Sincerely, Josie

RUBY
Day 6 and I am already cracking, mostly because of Arthur. Things are going well. We are doing a lot of driving. At least I am not carsick. Ruby

Arthur: Good, Very good and great. All the caves are great. Peace Arthur

Let’s drive to nowhere

Today there was a lot of driving!:( But the worst part was we didn’t do anything. Grrrr.

The coolest part was trying to geocache at Eels creek and we saw two water snakes (Ginette is terrified of them but she still went in the water.)

We almost went to Petroglyphs provincial park but were too late for the tour. What was the point of going and not seeing the aboriginal drawings?

We found a local beach and swam in beautiful water. Now we are boon docking, apparently. That is when you park your car in the middle of nowhere and camp for free. Daddy slowed down at every small dirt road looking for a spot and we were starving. I think this is a snowmobile parking spot?
Day two. Over and out. Charlie
